Let Them Eat Cake

March 21, 2007

What do you do when Momma wakes up with a slight headache and REALLY wants to go back to bed? What to do when little guys are hungry and want to eat?  Well, this momma let them eat cake!!!  (Insert horrified gasps from the crowd.)  It helped me not be quite so uptight this morning and it won’t ruin them…right?  So, that’s the start to our day here.  I’ll let you know if anything crazy happens.  Happy rainy day!

Desperate times call for desperate measures they say. :)

Really no shock here…..it’s nice to chuckle about something on this here rainy day.

  2. My kids usually get the popcorn out of the bowl next to our bed from the night before. I even gave Lily a few crackers in her crib the other morning and she still has crumbs in her bed:)

  3. Okay Steph-

Where do you live? We sound like similar moms. I think we would get along really well. I have been known to catch a whiff of how whiny the day is going to be and pop in a Dora DVD, and let the kids eat popcorn all morning. Survival of the fittest, right? The way I figure it, they sleep 12 hours a night. They are fitter than me. So if I need to ply them with goodies at times, to make life work for me, I AM COMING OUT ON TOP!

  4. Well, as long as there was no ice cream involved, you’re probably okay. Many blessings on your moving days. I will pray for peace for all of you in the midst of the hubbub.
