Ordinary Is Good

The past few days have been full of anything but the ordinary.  Running to doctor’s appointments, resting in bed, laying on the couch, lots of movie watching for the kiddos, eating food that was made with love just for us.  So, today it feels good to be watching my kids and making them lunch.  I gave them haircuts and a shower (we won’t talk about how long it’s been since they had a shower), let them play outside and now they’re resting.  I don’t feel chipper, but content in this role of mommy.  Today it is helping to do the ordinary.  God has blessed us with two wonderful children and it feels good to do my job.  I hurt, but that’s ok.  Everyone has hurts and I am thankful that I am the daughter of a loving, caring, compassionate, feeling God who does no wrong.  He is here with me, and that’s enough.  Hope you are well on this windy day, enjoying whatever His gracious Hand deems fit.
