Lord Willing

March 1, 2007

This is what my dear husband wrote to our church family yesterday:

“As Christians we use the phrase “Lord willing” when discussing our future plans because we know that our lives are in God’s hands and that He is directing everything (not only our individual lives) according to His plan. A few weeks ago I wrote that, Lord willing, a new Wentzel baby would be brought into the world in October. I’m sad to say that Stephanie miscarried this week.

We are saddened by this event, but we are not without hope. Stephanie and I have been comforted and encouraged by the fact that we belong to a wonderfully loving, wise, and sovereign God. We cannot always understand His ways, but we trust in His goodness.”

He said it perfectly!  I am very sad, but we have much hope.  Nothing can take my most precious relationship away, and that is with my Lord Jesus Christ.  There is so much hope there, and it is also there that we mourn and have sorrow.  Right there in His arms, and that’s where I am today.

  5. Thanks Ladies. It is truly such an encouragement to know that this burden is not ours to carry alone. The Lord created the Body of Christ so beautifully, and you all represent His grace and mercy tangibly for me during this time. May He bless you for being a fragrance of life to me today!
